Breakers of Barriers. The Voices of Yiddish Female Poets (PL)

Izaaka 5We would like to invite you to an intimate, book club style meeting focused on the moving voices of female Jewish poets, chosen from the “Moja dzika koza” anthology of poetry. This publication includes poems written by women who lived in Galician shtetls and managed to break societal and literary conventions through their works. Although their voices were unheard for a long time, today they are being read in Kazimierz, which contains remnants of the world from which these voices emerged. This meeting will not only be an occasion to read and discuss these works, but will also be a testimony that Jewish life in Krakow still exists and continuously develops – building bridges between the past and the present through word and poetry.
