26.06.2025 - 11:00 / Start: Józefa 36The Taube Center invites you to take a curated walk through Kazimierz, Krakow’s former Jewish district. In the last three decades, it has transitioned from a poor and neglected district to one of the major tourist destinations in Poland. The city’s tangible Ashkenazi Jewish heritage, dating back to the 14th century, is a significant factor in this transformation.
We will explore the district’s rich Jewish past and contemporary life and consider how Kazimierz’s Jewish heritage is preserved, used, and presented in the 21st-century Krakow.
